The UK FIU, the NCA have issued guidance which draws together good practice by reporters across the UK to address queries regularly received by the NCA’s UK Financial Intelligence Unit. It is intended to help reporters provide good quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) that provide maximum benefit to law enforcement.
Collaborative answers are provided to the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the process of submitting a SAR within the UK. The ambition of these core answers is therefore to help a large cross section of the SAR reporting community. The aim will be to regularly review the content, as it is anticipated that this product will evolve with the introduction of new legislation, regulations and crime trends.
